Closed Huntsville school to become brewery

Closed Huntsville school to become brewery

Good morning!

Here's what we're working on in the WAFF 48 Newsroom:

First, today we expect to learn more about plans to turn a vacant school into a brewery and entertainment center.

City leaders are calling this a "game changing" development for west Huntsville.  It involves Stone Middle School getting a major facelift.  City leaders along with Yellow-Hammer and Straight to Ale beer will be on hand to discuss their plans for the redevelopment of the school property.

Also, some missionaries returning to North Carolina from West Africa are being quarantined as a precaution.

Mission group, SIM USA, is working to bring its missionaries and staff back, after some of the staff provided patient care to people affected by Ebola. Health providers says none of them have shown symptoms of infection, but as a precaution they are requiring a quarantine period for those who are returning to the U-S within 21 days of their last exposure.

We'll have these stories and more beginning at 5AM.
