Otters Lose, but Still Gain Ground

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The Otters had a pretty good day, despite falling 11-4, to the River City Rascals, tonight.

Evansville managed to gain a half-game in the East Division standings, thanks to Washington, getting swept in a doubleheader at Traverse City.

The Otters actually had a chance to leapfrog the Wild Things, with a win tonight, but after being tied 3-3 in the 3rd inning, things went south from there.  The Rascals scored one in the 6th, and then exploded for three in the 7th and four in the 8th, to win 11-4.

The Otters hit the field again tomorrow night, against River City, in the final game of the three-game series.   They sit a half-game out of first place, behind the Wild Things.

Washington is off, so if the Otters win, they will move into a tie for first.
