HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An arrest was made in nearly a year old Huntsville murder investigation. Police arrested Cedric Reynolds Grady Friday and charged him with capital murder.

He's accused of killing Cedrick Lamont Fletcher. Investigators said Fletcher was shot during a robbery at a home on Clifford Drive. His nephew was also shot, but survived.

There was a sense of relief throughout the neighborhood. One neighbor said she could finally sleep in peace now that the Fletcher family will get justice.

Cedrick Lamont and his nephew were a home on Clifford drive when they both were shot back in September 2013. Lamont died from his injuries, but his nephew recovered. Neighbors said Fletcher was an outgoing and helpful young man, and that the neighborhood hasn't been the same since his murder. Neighbors said Justice had finally been served.

“It was a senseless Murder you know, and so it's good to know that our community can feel safe when the police department investigate,” said one neighbor, Deborah McCary.
