MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) -

The mother of a Georgia toddler who died after being left for hours in his father's car insists her husband was a loving father and would never have intentionally harmed their son.

Leanna Harris, in a recent victim impact statement to prosecutors, also said she's living a "tortured existence" and is undergoing counseling. She has since moved back to Alabama.

Police say 22-month-old Cooper Harris died June 18 and have charged his father, Justin Ross Harris, with murder. Leanna Harris hasn't been charged in the case, and her attorney tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/1raDqjP ) he hopes that since his client received the victim questionnaire it will quiet any speculation to the contrary.

A prosecutors' spokeswoman says the office is required to send the forms to a victim's next of kin.
