If you find out your account's been hacked, you need to take action now.

The first thing you should do is change your password.

According to CNN, money experts say you should change your passwords and make them smart.

They say use long sentences or phrases. The more characters you add to a password, the more difficult it is for a computer program to crack.

You should also change your password often, around every six months or so.

They also say to never keep a document on your computer that includes a master of your passwords. For hackers, that's a treasure map.

Erase and permanently delete old messages that have your bank account information or social security number because hackers can see all of that once they get into your account.
