Good Tuesday evening.
We are digging deeper into news of the highest-ranking American officer killed in combat since 1970. Major General Harold Greene was killed in Afghanistan today. In our heavily-military community here in the Tennessee Valley, there’s no shortage of opinions. Charles Molineaux spoke with some members of the military about this significant loss.
We’re also investigating two controversial immigration bills that passed Friday on the last day of the Congressional session. One involves deporting over half a million migrants already approved to work here. The second would send migrant youths home without hearings. Vincent Crivelli will talk to Congressman Mo Brooks as well as local Hispanic leaders to get their opinion of the legislation.
And the new school year got off toe a busy start at Madison County Schools today with new staggered start times. We’ll show you the congestion and hear from school officials on the challenges that lie ahead.
We hope you will join us for these stories and more at 10.
