MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Bob Jones High School in Madison is currently undergoing a $20-million renovation, but principal Robby Parker said they are ready for the new school year.

The project started back in May, and it is expected to be completed by August 2015.

Parker said the whole school is being renovated, including the gym, the media center, the auditorium and the classrooms. The principal said the project will not be disruptive to students.

"There's not a lot of grinding and chiseling or anything like that going on," Parker said. "A lot of it is adding connectivity, which will be above the ceiling air conditioning; things like that. Things that aren't really loud and that will be in classrooms where students are not."

For now, the media center has been moved to two classrooms, and students will not be allowed to used the courtyard.

Parker said the school no longer has lockers, which will give them more room.
