COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A former church secretary accused of stealing more than $100,000 from a Muscle Shoals church entered a not-guilty plea Monday.

Deborah Mansell's attorney filed the plea in court. The judge accepted the plea and ordered a pretrial hearing for September 24. The trial has been scheduled for October 6.

A grand jury indictment accuses Mansell of racking up nearly $129,000 in food and gas charges. Investigators said Mansell made the charges on the church credit card between July 2011 and April 2014.

Mansell remains free on $25,000 bond.
