NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing teen - possibly a runaway - who is mentally ill, according to her father, and was last seen Wednesday at her home in the Florida neighborhood.

Destinee Williams, 15, has been diagnosed as a bipolar schizophrenic with ADHD, according to her father, Carlton Williams. She went missing from her home in the 2200 block of Independence Street at about 4 p.m. and is in need of medication.

Mr. Williams admits that his daughter has run away on several occasions.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or notify the Fifth District Investigative Unit at (504) 658-6050.
