Man injured in Huntsville shooting

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a late night shooting in Huntsville.

The victim was shot in the back. Police say it looks like it was a drug deal that turned violent.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday on Uvalde Lane.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.

HEMSI transported him to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition.

Police said the victim had a golf club for protection.

No arrests have been made in the case. Officers are searching for a silver Honda Civic in connection with the shooting.
