LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said that a two day search for a robbery suspect ended Wednesday when he was apprehended shortly after a second robbery attempt.

Investigators arrested Ryan Thomas Denham around 6 p.m. on County 556 in the Caddo community.

Mitchell said that deputies surrounded the area after receiving a report that Denham had attempted to rob a man at gunpoint. He said that when the victim did not comply with Denham's demands, he left walking on foot.

Mitchell said that a short time later, deputies were able to apprehend Denham with the assistance of nearby citizens.

Denham was taken into custody without incident. Denham faces prosecution for two counts of robbery and is also a suspect in a church burglary that occurred Tuesday night.
