18-wheeler on I-110 North goes over concrete wall

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A scary crash involving an 18-wheelers that could have ended up much worse blocked I-110 South near the Governor’s Mansion Curve.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported a tractor trailer was on I-110 North when the driver lost control, tumbled over the concrete wall and ended up in oncoming traffic on I-110 South. 

Investigators said no other vehicles were involved and added the driver suffered only minor injuries.

Police have not stated whether the driver will be cited.

One driver who was on I-110 South and saw the entire crash said there was a gap of about 200 feet when the trailer went over the barrier.

The crash remains under investigation.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
