Madison man arrested for armed robbery at Old Time Pottery

MADISON, AL (WAFF) - Madison Police arrested a suspect Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery. 

The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. on July 10 at Old Time Pottery on Madison Boulevard. 

Detectives with Madison Police have charged 21-year-old Tyler Williams of Madison with one count of first degree robbery and one count of second degree theft of property.

Williams was booked into the Madison County Jail on a $62,500 bond.

    Our news gathering partner at the Decatur Times Daily reports the city of Sheffield in Colbert County is dealing with a staffing shortage in their fire department.  Fire Chief Dewey King, who is also the city's public safety director, says that low wages are contributing to a high turnover rate.
