Ex-employee pleads guilty to stealing from GM plant

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A long-running scheme was cracked when stolen goods turned up on eBay.

Anthony Praino was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison on Tuesday in connection with almost $1 million of equipment being stolen from the General Motors plant in Spring Hill.

Praino was a former forklift operator at the plant.

While employed there, he admitted stealing almost $1 million in manufacturing equipment and then selling the equipment on eBay.

He didn't report that income to the IRS, which resulted in additional charges.
