HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - People with disabilities will have a chance to land a good job on Thursday.

There's a job fair from 8 a.m. until noon at The Alabama Department Of Rehabilitation Services on Johnson Road.

The North Alabama Society for Human Resource Management is hosting it.

24 companies ready to hire will be on display.

There will also be an opportunity for resume help and reviews.

Organizers said there is a large group of people out there who want to work but don't get the opportunity to.

"I have met some individuals with disabilities that want to live a normal life and they say they can never find businesses that want to hire," said Mitchell Williams, the Nashrm's Workforce Readiness Dir.

If there is a job someone wants to apply for online, they'll also have computers set up so you can apply on the spot.

Scattered rain showers will linger this evening, especially east of I-65. There’s also a cold front still to our west that will move through the Valley with time overnight. Another round of heavier showers may develop along that front, but no severe weather is expected.
