HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville police responded to a robbery early Thursday morning around 1:30 a.m. at Bishop's Bar and Grill on Highway 53.

The victims were three females. They said three men came in through the front door of the bar and grill carrying guns.

Victims said the men then ordered everyone to lay on the ground.

People inside the business told police that the three men were all wearing masks.

One of the robbers made one of the victims, an employee, give him an undisclosed amount of money from the register. He also stole the other two victims' purses.

There were no reported injuries. The robbers fled the scene on foot and went northbound behind the bar and grill.

Huntsville police said they do not know at this time if the robbery is related to the bank robbery last week on Sutton Road, but they are not ruling anything out.

Despite two armed robberies in two weeks, police said robberies have actually decreased slightly in Huntsville.

The owner of Bishop's said they were lucky no one got hurt and he hopes they catch the people who did it.

No arrests have been made at this time.

A perimeter was set up and a k9 unit was called to the scene to track their scent.
