MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - This week's Kitchen Cops found three low performers.

However, a local Subway scored a perfect 100.

Cold holding food needs to be at 41 degrees or lower to prevent bacterial growth. A Marshall County Health inspector reported finding several food items that were off the mark at Peking Chinese Restaurant in Albertville as the restaurant scored an 83. The inspector reported honey chicken and noodles at 80 degrees, shrimp at 61 degrees, and chicken at 48 degrees. The inspector also reported chicken that was cooling after being cooked was in the food danger zone for bacteria growth at 80 degrees.

Nori Japan at Parkway Place Mall in Huntsville scored an 80. The inspector reported sushi rice was nine degrees below the required hot holding temperature, and that a worker's drink was in a work area sitting next to food.

Also in Huntsville, La Noche Buena's meat department scored an 81. A Madison County health inspector reported that they witnessed a worker drink from a water bottle that was sitting on a cutting board. The inspector also reported a worker's yogurt smoothie was stored on a shelf next to meat, and above meat on the shelf below.

The staff at the Subway in the Walmart on Spring Avenue in Decatur had no violations during their inspection means, scoring a perfect 100 with the Morgan County Health Department.
