Montgomery Co. Commission holds first budget hearing

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
The Montgomery County Commission wrapped up the first of two budget hearings on Monday.
The meeting was an opportunity for the public to hear where the commission is planning to allocate funds.
Officials say the priority for the budget is improving public safety.
"Our public safety is always our major priority, plus our employees," said chairman Elton Dean. "We have a lot of renovations this year. We just have to have make sure we spend our money right and put it in the right places."
The second budget hearing will take place Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
