FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence police arrested two men from Georgia on drug trafficking charges over the weekend.

An officer pulled over the pair for a traffic stop on Highway 72. When he approached the vehicle, he noticed the driver moving something in the floorboard with his feet.

A K9 unit was called to the scene and the K9 detected drugs in the vehicle.

Officers discovered a container full of ICE, a form of methamphetamine, wrapped in a shirt. Inside the dish was 11 ounces of ICE.

Investigators said one of the occupants of the vehicle ran from officers. They caught him after a brief foot chase and officers used a stun gun on him.

Police arrested 27-year-old Chaney Tyler Hankins and 23-year-old Bruce Edward Howard, both of Georgia.

They were charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
