Community invited to tour new Florence Freshman Center

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence City Schools have a reason to celebrate with the completion of a the new freshman center.

The new building will be open for students fall 2014. School leaders invited the community to join them for a ribbon cutting and tour Saturday.

"It's just such an exciting time for our school district and our community, because we truly believe when a school district continues to grow that is symbolizes a community that's continued to thrive," said Florence City Schools Superintendent Dr. Janet Womack.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning in front of the new building.
