LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Three people in Lawrence County were arrested after the Drug Task Force conducted a pseudo-purchasing investigation

All the ingredients needed to conduct a one pot "shake and bake" meth cook were seized.

Sheriff Gene Mitchell said agents arrested:

  • Lisa Rena Schrimsher, 33, unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia

  • Christina Ann Hogan, 31,unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia

  • Christopher Dale Smith, 28,unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia
Smith was also arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Mitchell said that during the investigation, agents learned that Schrimsher had been purchasing suspicious quantities of pseudo from several different Decatur pharmacies. She had moved to Lawrence County and was believed to be involved in the manufacturing of meth.

After learning that Schrimsher had just recently purchased a box of pseudo, agents decided to contact Schrimsher. Mitchell said when agents made contact with Schrimsher at her home, they found all the ingredients needed to conduct a one pot meth cook lying in the living room floor. It appeared that Schrimsher, Hogan and Smith were in the early stage of conducting the cook.

Mitchell said when agents found the items lying in plain view, they secured the residence. While securing the residence, agents found Smith hiding in a back bedroom closet.

Mitchell said Smith claimed he was hiding from agents due to having outstanding traffic warrants and did not know what was happening inside the house. Mitchell said that while processing the scene, agents found that the suspects had started the process of conducting a meth cook by crushing the pseudo pills and pre-measuring the lye.

After agents completed their investigation, they arrested the three suspects and booked them into the county jail without bond.
