HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The impending sale of West Huntsville Elementary School will impact a non-profit organization that uses the property.

Free 2 Teach currently utilizes part of the school to operate a store. The resource store is stocked with classroom materials and school supplies teachers can obtain for free.

Organizers said they will see if the school district has another building or alternative space to lease for a reasonable price.

"I just want to be a good steward of our money and serve the teachers in our community, because in turn, that serves children," said organizer Eula Battle.

Free 2 Teach is open to educators in Madison City, Madison County, and Huntsville City school districts. Teachers must register online before they go pick up supplies.
