Posted: Updated:

4G interference with Freeview TV reception. The kind of problems which could be experienced due to the interference, and why using a qualified Television Aerial & Satellite Engineer is the best advice if having problems with your TV Picure

Preston, United Kingdom – July 16, 2014

/PressCable/ — UK Cell Phone companies are now initiating the 4G networks across England to give super fast internet speeds. The 800MHz frequencies are being made use of by some operators, and this could cause a few problems for the viewers of Digital TV in that area. Because the 800MHz frequency is situated by Freeview Digital Television, & because of this there is a possibility of some interference on these TV channels.

The kind of problems that may be experienced are; no sound, picture freeze or pixelation, and this could happen on one or more of the digital channels. Viewers of satellite TV or cable will not be effected by this. Due to the nature of Freeview, it is recieved by TV Aerials, it could easily pick up the interference produced by the 4G service. Satellite TV such as Sky and Freesat use a completely different platform, using a satellite dish aligned to a point in space to recieve its broadcast. Cable TV is recieved using a cable and also will not be effected by interference.

The areas which could be effected are Blackpool & wyre, Fylde, Lytham St.Annes, Preston areas. For more info speak to a reputable local Aerial & Satellite Installer. http://www.satellite-tv-dish-free.com/
