Chesterfield home struck by lightning

Posted: Updated:
CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

A Chesterfield family is cleaning up after lightning strikes their house while they're still inside.

Emergency officials confirm this all happened around 10:30 Monday night in the 10800 block of Isadora Drive, near Nash Road.

The husband, wife and their three kids all managed to get out safely. Thankfully, the lightning did not spark a fire, only taking out some dry wall in the process.

The family has been displaced. They are now staying with other family members.
