HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police confirmed Monday no charges will be filed in the case of the June shooting at the Lydia Gold Skatepark.

The shooting happened the evening of June 8. Witnesses said the shooting stemmed from an argument between a photographer taking pictures of people posing at the park and a skater wishing to use the same area.

A gun was produced from each side of the confrontation, a witness said. One person was shot in the thigh.

Sergeant Mark Roberts with the Huntsville Police Department said Monday that the two men at the center of the incident decided not to press charges against the other.
