DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Officers from Decatur and Priceville Police Departments were called to the scene of a liquor store robbery Saturday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the Windmell Beverages store on Point Mallard Parkway. Employees at the store said a man came in to purchase a bottle of alcohol, then struck a cashier, taking money from the register.

The man then forced another employee to the ground as he attempted to leave the scene.

Bystanders were able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect. The man was later identified as 23-year-old Todd McGee Lacey, who was located in Priceville's jurisdiction.

Lacey was placed under arrest for a misdemeanor failure-to-appear warrant issued on July 11. He was taken to the Decatur Police Department, then placed under arrest for two counts of third-degree robbery.

Bond for the two counts of robbery have not been set.
