Here's what we're working on in the WAFF newsroom:
Police in Jackson County are investigating the drowning of a Bridgeport man at a city pool. The coroner says 48 year old Bert Eugene Winston Jr. was underwater for several hours before he was found.
People who live in the area say the pool shouldn't have been open, and they plan to bring their concerns to tonight's city council meeting.
Also this morning, we'll have the latest on the desegregation debate facing Huntsville City Schools. School board vice president Laurie McCaulley has canceled tonight's Citizen's Work Session.
She says comments made by the federal judge overseeing the case is the reason she canceled the meeting. Judge Madeline Hughes Haikala said continuing public conversations could hamper the case.
