HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - What do the movies 'Sudden Impact,' 'Cahill,' 'Demolition Man' and 'Rumble in the Bronx' have in common?
Besides starring some of the toughest men in Hollywood, they can all be found on Huntsville broadcast television - since WAFF-TV launched a second digital subchannel on Oct. 8.
'Grit,' a new action and adventure-based network, occupies WAFF 48.3. Grit joins Bounce TV, which occupies 48.2, as additional entertainment options from WAFF.
The new channel has a heavy focus on western, war and action theatrical motion pictures.
Grit's owners, Katz Broadcasting, entered into a licensing agreement with Warner Brothers Domestic Television Distribution earlier this year to offer many of the production house's films for broadcast. Soon, you will be able to watch stars like Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan and more – free, over-the-air, on 48.3.
