Antares rocket launches on resupply mission

Orbital Sciences' Antares rocket carrying the Cygnus cargo spacecraft lifted off on Sunday afternoon. 

The spacecraft successfully launched from Wallops Island, VA. and is on its way to the International Space Station. 

At the time of the launch, the space station was traveling at an altitude of 260 miles over northwest Australia. 

Cygnus has separated successfully and is in its initial orbit, according to NASA.
