MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Two Madison County residents now have an easier way to get out of their homes.

Volunteers from CASA joined together Saturday morning to help build ramps at homes in Madison and Hazel Green. The ramps provide people who are wheelchair bound with easier access out of their homes. Each ramp is custom designed for each client and built by CASA volunteers.

“For just a few hours of time, to give someone the freedom to get in and out of their house instead of being trapped for long periods of time, it just makes you feel good,” said project leader David Steinhauser.
