HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A fence in front of a historic landmark must now come down.
The Huntsville City Council approved a resolution Thursday to revoke a license agreement between the city and the owner of the Kildare House.
Dwight Wright had permission to build a security fence on the right-of-way on Kildare Street adjoining his yard. He put up a 12-15 foot fence, which city officials said is a safety hazard for people within the right-of-way.
Wright has 60 days to take down the security fence.
