DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Traffic was down to one lane near the Highway 31 bridge in Decatur as crews worked to clear a diesel fuel spill.

Authorities said an 18-wheeler hit a guardrail, hitting the truck's fuel tank and leaked diesel across the roadway.

The driver was not injured in the wreck. Crews poured sand on the spill and are working to clear the area.

Police said it could be two hours before the scene is cleared.
