2 arrested in Athens meth bust

ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - Two people were arrested after police found components used to make meth in a van in Athens. 

Officers responded to Woodridge Apartments after receiving complaints about a strange odor coming from a van in the parking lot. Police found scales, syringes, coffee filters, tubing and other items used to make meth inside the vehicle. 

Police arrested David Pugh and Amy Willis. When officers went to Pugh’s apartment they found him to be in possession of a glass pipe with meth residue in it along with a bag filled with other components used to make meth. 

Both suspects face drug charges and were transferred to the limestone County Jail.
