HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A crash during pop-up showers in Huntsville sent one car down a ravine Tuesday.

It happened around 5 p.m. just north of Oakwood Avenue.

Witnesses said a red truck collided with a white car, sending the car into the steep ditch.

Crews had to free a woman in the car from the wreckage.

Zack Pride was one of the first people to respond to the woman before emergency crews arrived.

“We broke the window to get in there to her and realized she’s still talking,” Pride said. “She was conscious and breathing and making sense.”

The woman’s official condition has not been released. Two tow trucks assisted in extracting the car from the ravine.
