CULLMAN COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

One of the two dogs that went missing after their owners wrecked on I-65 near Cullman has been found, according to a family friend.

Elliott Thomas organized a recent search for the two dogs belonging to Seth and Olivia Hatfield.

The Hatfields' 2004 Honda was involved in a wreck with a tractor trailer on I-65 at mile marker 297 about three miles south of Dodge City on Sunday, June 29.

Seth Hatfield had minor injuries but his wife was critically injured. She is in the ICU at UAB. After the wreck, their dogs Molly and Claire ran away from the scene.

Thomas also created a Facebook page, "Help Find Molly and Claire!", to encourage people to help find the dogs or donate supplies.

Molly was recently found in good condition. A man who lives near exit 299 off of I-65 had been taking care of the dog. A professional dog tracker has been hired from out of state to help locate the other dog, Claire.

You can keep up with the search and Olivia Hatfield's progress on the Help Find Molly and Claire Facebook group.
