SHELBY COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

The docket hearing for a former University of Montevallo student accused of killing cats has been rescheduled.

Attorneys have not confirmed the new date.

Christian Todd Slaton, 21, of Madison is under investigation for allegedly killing cats and displaying them on campus in October 2012.

Two of the cats were allegedly hung for display on the campus quad, a dismembered cat was found on the President mansion's lawn and another dead cat was found in a wooded area.

Slaton was arrested in November 2012. He faces a four-count indictment accusing him of first degree cruelty of a cat, with each charge stating he "intentionally tortured" the cats.
