LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The Whitt's Barbeque in Ardmore, Alabama, scored an 83 with the Limestone County Health Department. It is a cooking-only facility that supplies pre-cooked food for Whitt's restaurants in Fayetteville and Ardmore, Tennessee.

The inspector reported there were an excessive number of flies in the building. The inspector also reported a worker was eating and drinking while they were preparing food. And Whitt's lost points because there was evidence of smoking in the food prep room.

An 84 for the Sonic in Albertville. The health inspector reported cheese was seven to nine degrees above temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold holding food. Several pieces of equipment that make contact with food were broken, including a fry scoop, a fry vat skimmer, and a basket used to fry onion rings.

The Huddle House in Arab scored an 84. The inspector reported they saw a worker drinking, and then return to prep food without washing their hands.

The Y Mart Deli in Boaz scored a 78. The inspector reported the soda nozzles and the inside of the ice maker weren't clean. Y Mart also was cited for a violation because a hose outside near the drive-through and another hose inside at the mop sink did not have back siphonage protection devices to ensure contaminated water did not flow back into the water supply.

Papa Z's Food Mart in Cherokee scored an 82. A Colbert County health inspector reported food in the deli warmer was below the required temperature. Also, some ready to eat food didn't have stickers to indicate when it would expire.

Workers at the IHOP in Athens earned their way off of the Limestone County Health Department's reinspection schedule. It takes an 85 or better to do that, and the IHOP scored a 97 this time, 25 points better than their previous inspection.

Workers at Fammo's in Athens did the same, rising from an 81 to a 95 during their reinspection.

The McDonald's in Ardmore rose seven points over their previous inspection with an 87.

Kim's Tiger Mart in Ardmore scored an 86, four points better than last time.
