Man flown to hospital after being hit by truck; police looking for suspect

Posted: Updated:

Madisonville Police say a pickup truck hit a pedestrian on Whittington Drive and fled the scene.

It happened around 10 o'clock Thursday night.

According to officers, Johnathan M. Davis was walking on the northbound side of Whittington Drive when he was hit.

First responders transported Davis by medical helicopter to Deaconess Hospital.

Davis's family says he remembers seeing a tan truck with brown stripes clipping him as he walked to work.

"He remembers them clipping him, then he remembers hitting the ground, and he remembers headlights being on his face," says Davis' sister Stephanie Bowley. "As if a car was passing by and him just screaming for help and nobody stopping. I just want whoever did this to be held accountable because it was my brother. Luckily it wasn't a child that couldn't recover from something like this. It could be your brother, or your mom, or your child."

Police say they're searching for a light colored extended cab pickup truck.

If you have any information about this incident, call Crime Stoppers at (270) 825-1111.
