A cab driver was pistol-whipped and shot by two men when he arrived at his Donelson-area home.
The man arrived at his Laurinda Drive home about 3:35 a.m. Friday when the two suspects approached him as he was getting out of his cab.
Police said the suspects struck the cab driver in the head with a handgun and then shot him one time in the leg.
The cab driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the area in a dark-colored Nissan vehicle.
