Operation: No Freedom for You yields 14 arrests

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Fourteen people were arrested Wednesday as part of a narcotics roundup called "Operation-No Freedom for You." The undercover operation lasted for three months.

Officials with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said the majority of the accused "low-level street dealers" were pushing prescription medications.

“It’s a problem in Livingston Parish and beyond our parish borders,” said Sheriff Jason Ard. “In Livingston Parish, the dedicated members of my narcotics team work to make sure they know the players and what they’re pushing. It’s for the safety of your family, my family and their families.”

Those arrested include:

Paul Hammond of Denham Springs - Distribution of Hydrocodone

Sherie Kinchen of Albany - Oxycodone

Melonie Starns of Independence - Oxycodone

Rory Welda of Holden - Oxycodone

Edwin Grieves of Albany - Hydrocodone

Michelle Berthelot of Denham Springs - Morphine

Charles Loveland of Walker - Hydromorphone

Angeline Taylor of Holden - Hydromorphone

Robert Conner of Denham Springs - Meth

Katherine Forbus of Denham Spirngs - Adderall

Bernadette Hayden of Denham Springs - Adderall

Charles Arnold - Bench Warrants (2)

John McCurley - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Desiree Bernard - Drug Paraphernalia
