A second fireworks stand was the target of burglars in as many days. This time, security cameras got a good look at the two men who broke in looking for cash.

Video shows them breaking open cash registers, stealing a tablet and was in the process of stealing fireworks before running away.

The fireworks stand in Madison County is owned by the Apostolic Truth United Pentecostal Church, and the money is used to send kids to summer camp.

Daniel Hilligoss was in the church when the burglary happened around 5 a.m. Thursday, and said the robbers first broke into a shed, brought a ladder over to the stand and tried unsuccessfully to get in using the ladder. The robbers then cut a hole in the stand and crawled in.

There was no money in the registers, and Hillgoss said the only thing they got was the tablet.

Hillgoss also said they opened for business as usual after the burglary, but have increased security around the stand.

Thieves targeted a Limestone County fireworks stand, and investigators believe it may be connected to the Madison County burglary. The Fireworks Outlet in Tanner was broken into during the overnight hours Tuesday. Officials think the thieves may be trying to resell the items they steal. A reward is being offered in that case.
