(WMC) – The new Hard Rock Cafe is scheduled to hold its grand opening on Thursday, July 3.

The Hard Rock is moving just down the street from its old location on Beale to a bigger space that will house many things, including the Memphis Music Hall of Fame Exhibit and Museum.

WMC Action News had a sneak peek at the new restaurant. The ceiling of the 108-year-old building is decked out with memorabilia of famous music artists.

Iconic pieces of rock and roll history line the walls like guitars of legends. There are also hand-written lyrics by Johnny Cash that can only be seen at the new Hard Rock Cafe.

Hard Rock historian Jeff Nolan said, "It gave us an opportunity to display some new pieces of history and refresh the way we display some pieces of history we've always had in Memphis."

The new cafe is part of a multi-million dollar development project and home to a Lansky Brothers retail store. To see more inside of the new Hard Rock Cafe click here: http://bit.ly/1xlhHK2 or head down to the new location at 126 Beale Street.

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
