JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -  A 73-year-old Athens man is facing sex abuse charges in Central Alabama.

Mack Allen Davis is in the Jefferson County Jail on $150,000 bond.

Two men came forward saying Davis molested them when they were children in the 1980s. Davis reportedly served as a youth pastor in Birmingham at the time.

Defense attorneys have filed a motion to reduce Davis’ bond. They argue he is not a flight risk and is too ill and elderly to be cared for properly in jail.
