JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Authorities in Jackson County arrested a man in connection with a burglary in Fackler. 

Deputies responded to a home on County Road 45 early Wednesday morning after a report about a burglary. Authorities were able to find the suspect along with the stolen property. 

David Jerrell Steele, 51, of Fackler, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and theft. 

After he was taken to the Jackson County Jail, authorities found Steele was in possession of 6.5 grams of meth and other drug paraphernalia. He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband. 

Bond for Steele has not yet been set.
