Southern launches million dollar fundraising campaign

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Southern University System Foundation launched a 90-day Viral Fundraising campaign Tuesday called the True Blue Million Dollar March.

More than 100 volunteer campaign captains will send out emails, text messages, and posts to social media in hopes of raising $2 million dollars.

The money will help support the five campuses that  make up the Southern University system. It is needed to fill the gap for financially-challenged students, says Foundation Executive Director Alfred Harrell.

For more information, call (225) 771-3911 or go to foundation.sus.edu.
