HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An hour and a half before the US vs. Belgium World Cup game began on Tuesday, bars were packed with supporters decked out in red, white and blue.

Straight to Ale partner Bruce Weddendorf said the World Cup games have been great for business.

"We've get people in here in the middle of the day and we sell a lot of beer," Weddendorf said.

Weddendorf also said he was unprepared for the huge turn out during the first World Cup game the US played in, but by Tuesday's game he said the staff were ready.

Fans are also more prepared this time around. Sarah Spear got to the brewery two hours before the game started.

"Last time we came an hour before and it was packed," Spear said. "So this time we got here even earlier."

The US lost Tuesday's match in a 2-1 overtime battle.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
