BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, alcohol may have been a factor in the car crash that killed former Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen.

Toxicology reports are pending for Ian Davis, the driver who died at the scene, and Lutzenkirchen.

Authorities say Davis was going 55 miles an hour when he went through a stop sign and overturned. Seat belts were only used by one of the two passengers who survived.

A public visitation and funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, Georgia.
