(CNN) – The U.S. military is sending more troops to Iraq for security.

The Pentagon says 200 military personnel with be in the country to secure the U.S. embassy, its support facilities, and Baghdad International Airport.

This is in addition to the 100 personnel already in the region for security and logistical support.
