Ninja Smurfs headed to California to play soccer

ARAB, AL (WAFF) -

They have a sort of bizarre name, but the Ninja Smurfs are ready to take the pitch and head to sunny California to have some fun and play great soccer.

The summer soccer team is based out of Arab, Alabama and have 15 girls that come from the surrounding communities of Arab, Brewer, Fairview and Parkside. They will head to Torrance, California to participate in the American Youth Soccer Organization National Games.

It was a yearlong project to make the trip happen, $14,000 was raised for the girls to experience the trip of a lifetime.

And of course along with soccer, the beach, and a visit to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, Disneyland on the top of the list of things to so.
