Successful dealership Colliers Motor Group begins the process of relocating their Edinburgh site.

Malvern, Worcestershire, United Kingdom – June 27, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ –

Colliers Motor Group, a leading car dealership specialist with sites across Birmingham is currently in the process of relocating their current Erdington site to the more prominent and accessible location on Tyburn Road.

This is the next step in this local family-owned businesses’ development, who having traded from the current site for over 40 years has since outgrown the current site and showroom facilities.

Construction Company Speller Metcalfe is working alongside Colliers to regenerate what was an old bus station and factory building into three new dealerships for the Group on the Tyburn road, which will be the fourth site for the Motor Group.

David Clark, Chief Executive at Colliers said: “In developing new dealerships for Land Rover, Mazda and Honda, we have focused on providing clear customer access and parking on the site as well as designing car showrooms capable of meeting our customers’ needs for the future. We are delighted to be working with Speller Metcalfe to regenerate this site and develop a land mark destination for the brands we represent.”

The new showrooms are currently part-way through the £10 million construction phase of the project, where 100% of the waste generated has so far been reused on site or recycled to a local recycling plant.

Speller Metcalfe, who have a history of sustainable projects (http://www.spellermetcalfe.com/services/sustainable-construction) and recently completed the most sustainable non-domestic building in the world, have been working hard to be considerate contractors both on site and to the local community.

“Speller Metcalfe is a member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which is a voluntary code of industry practise we sign up to, honouring a commitment to be both environmentally responsible and caring for our community,” says Tony Shaw, MD at Speller Metcalfe Malvern.

“As well as achieving a 100% recycle rate of the materials we use on site, we have also donated money raised through selling any scrap metal to the local nursery, who are putting it towards a new interactive whiteboard for the children.”
